Eastern Red Cedar Forest, 50 square feet basal area of cedar, 10 basal area of hardwood (Ulmus alata and Black Locust) on broken-fractured limestone, the fractures 40-120 cm apart to 1 meter deep. Rock without soil, covered by moss and widow's cross; Poison Ivy, Virginia Creeper dominant; also present are Red Bud, Rhammus caroliniana, Quercus muhlenbergii, Hickory spp, needles dominate litter; 3+ acres in extent; collections in similar habitat but with thin soil and more hardwood. Occasional in vicinity.
