Peduncles glandular or not, at least ± woolly or cottony. Rays usually 13 or 21. 2n = 18. Flowering Jul-Sep. Meadows and open coniferous woods; 400-2500 m; Oreg., Wash. Variety ledophyllus grows from central Washington to southern Oregon.
